Is there an official Claude Code GUI for Windows?
Yes. Anthropic makes a Claude Code desktop app for Windows (x64, with an ARM64 installer) and macOS, with Linux in beta. It comes with Claude Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. Its April 2026 redesign added parallel sessions in a sidebar, git worktrees per session, an integrated terminal, a file editor, a diff viewer and an in-app preview (Anthropic's docs and blog, checked 2026-09-27). Its docs describe Claude as the agent; they don't describe running other companies' agents in it.
What does Technically Not add on top of Claude Code?
- The CLI you already use. It starts the Claude Code you installed, signed in with your account, in a real terminal panel in your project folder. Up to 12 terminal panels per workspace, and as many workspaces as you like.

- Live status for every agent. The Overview shows each agent as a card: Working, Needs you (for example a permission prompt), Waiting on agents, or idle, with a plain line saying what it's doing now.
- Agents pass work along.

How does it compare with the Claude Code desktop app?
Both are good. They're built for different people: one for Claude users who want Anthropic's full feature set, one for people who run several companies' agents at once.

Where is Anthropic's app better?
- It's made by the people who build Claude Code, so Claude's new features tend to arrive there first.
- It's included in your Claude plan, with nothing extra to pay.
- It runs on Mac, and it can also control apps on your screen (computer use, on Pro and Max plans) and track pull requests through CI.
- If you only ever use Claude, one app from one company is simpler.
How do I set it up on Windows?
- Install Claude Code natively on Windows and sign in (native vs WSL, step by step).
- Download Technically Not and open your project folder.
- On the Terminal page, add a terminal panel and choose Claude Code. If it isn't signed in yet, the panel runs its sign-in first.
- Type in the panel, or write in the prompt box and send it to the selected agent.
What doesn't it do?
- It doesn't include any AI. You keep paying for your own Claude plan.
- It doesn't install Claude Code for you, and it doesn't run Claude Code installed inside WSL.
- It isn't a code editor. It's for running, watching and steering agents.
