0.3.73 · build 79

  • NewBlur a thread with the eye button in its top row (and on its All threads card), for when someone is looking over your shoulder; each thread remembers it.
  • NewIcons that lead to a place are drawn in that place's color, in Dark and Light: All threads, the side column, CLI screen, Your terminal, Past conversations, Handoff history and Live preview.
  • NewA Snapshots box in the three-dots menu holds your last five screenshots and five clips, to copy, play or delete.
  • NewRemove an old computer from your own relay on the Devices page, without a command.
  • NewActions between an agent's sentences fold into one line ("Ran 3 commands, read 1 file"); press it to open them.
  • ChangedStart is green and Stop is red, on the thread's menu, its top row and its All threads card.
  • ChangedStarting a new thread opens that thread at once.
  • ChangedA finished helper's thread closes by itself about a minute after its report reaches its lead.
  • ChangedMessages to agents and held prompts go out up to almost a second sooner around the end of a task.
  • ChangedThe "files held" row under a thread's top row is folded to one line; press it to see the files.
  • ChangedThe Details tab shows a short line for what an agent is doing, with the full text on hover.
  • Changed"Latest" and "Last report" sit at the bottom left, so they no longer cover Send now and Remove.
  • ChangedA message from another agent reaches a busy Claude Code agent after its next step, instead of waiting for its task to end.
  • ChangedA file lock ends when its agent's task ends, and passes to the agent waiting for it.
  • ChangedThe command menu's pages use the thread design's names.
  • ChangedRetired Claude models are gone from the model lists; a saved choice moves to its successor.
  • ChangedFewer short freezes: git and the CLI checks start their processes off the app's main thread.
  • ChangedThe relay closes a connection whose session has run out.
  • RemovedThe hidden plan lock and "Subscribe to Pro" code; the app is free.
  • FixedPressing a decision keeps your place in the thread, so several can be pressed in a row.
  • FixedA finished report stays in view when the agent's next turn follows at once.
  • FixedA decision answered in your own words is marked as answered.
  • FixedA prompt sent with "Send anyway" shows in the thread.
  • FixedAnother agent's message no longer lands in the prompt you are typing.
  • FixedVoice no longer loses words while the app is busy, and no longer repeats a long sentence.

  • FixedThe voice start beep alone no longer sends an empty prompt.
  • FixedA long thread opens on its newest line.
  • FixedA CLI screen opened after a long task shows the whole screen.
  • FixedFinished helpers and background commands leave an agent's list after a compact.
  • FixedStop on a snapshot clip right at the start stops it.

  • FixedA tnai message that could not be delivered is reported to its sender.
  • FixedClicking PowerShell in an agent's terminal gives the new thread the keyboard.
  • FixedOn a touch screen, the rename pencil sits on the name's line.
  • FixedAll threads cards follow a rename at once.
  • FixedThe New thread screen no longer shows the open thread's held files.
  • FixedQuitting on a Mac with sessions running asks first. Built with itself: 75 of the 75 changes in this release were made by AI agents working inside Technically Not.

0.3.72 · build 78

  • NewA Stop button in the prompt box while the agent works: stop it where it is, or cancel your last prompt and edit it.
  • NewMessages waiting for a busy agent show at the end of its thread, with Send now, Edit and Remove.
  • NewRename an agent with the pencil beside its name; every agent and every page follows the new name.
  • NewA clock after each agent's name shows how long its session has been open.
  • NewA ✕ on each thread-list row closes that thread.
  • NewHelper bubbles on a thread's head: press one to read that helper, then go back to the lead.
  • New"Last report" and "Latest" take you to an agent's last report or its newest line, in every thread.
  • NewA thread shows when its agent starts working again after a reply, and a violet "Waiting on NAME" when it waits on another agent.
  • NewEach All threads card has the same top-row controls as the open thread.
  • NewCompacting can summarize first, and hand-offs keep more of what the next agent needs.
  • ChangedThe Details tab is easier to read, grouped and colored.
  • ChangedDecisions stay clickable while the agent works, are sent by themselves, and show which answer you picked.
  • ChangedThe thread you choose on All threads is the one highlighted in the thread list, and the other way round.
  • ChangedThe Past conversations list is smaller and fits its space.
  • ChangedPrompts in a thread show without the paste wrapper; a pressed decision shows only its choice.
  • ChangedSettings › Usage counts the work of agents' helpers, and counts a resumed session's copied messages once.
  • Changed"Open on this PC" opens documents, pictures and media; scripts and web pages are shown in File Explorer instead of run.
  • ChangedSwitching between long threads and to the CLI screen is about twice as fast.
  • ChangedHidden terminals and the background use less of your graphics card, and the background holds still while the app is not in front.
  • ChangedClaude models come from a small list on the public repo, so new models show up without an app update.
  • ChangedIn a plain browser, the app shows a page that says it runs on the desktop, with Download.
  • FixedRenaming an agent now reaches Codex, OpenCode and Cursor agents too.
  • FixedVoice text no longer repeats one long sentence several times.
  • FixedA long paste in the prompt box survives a restart.

  • FixedUnplugging the mic while recording ends the recording, keeps what you said and tells you why.
  • FixedQuitting saves every thread before the agents are stopped.
  • FixedA preview page can no longer open your browser over and over.
  • FixedSkills whose keywords are written as a list are offered to agents again.
  • FixedSaving a file through a link keeps the link.
  • FixedHelpers' reports reach their lead even when the first send fails.

0.3.70 · build 76

  • NewThe app is built around threads. Every agent is a thread in the list on the left; the open one shows its work as a conversation, with the prompt box under it.
  • NewA side column beside the open thread: Files, Helpers, Details and Your terminal, one plain terminal for your own commands.
  • NewThe All threads page shows several threads side by side, with Live preview beside them.
  • NewA thread's CLI screen, from its "..." menu, shows the agent program's own terminal for signing in and its own menus.
  • NewSeveral computers connect through a relay you run yourself. There are no accounts and no plans: the app is free.
  • ChangedThe old Overview, the Agents page and the terminal pages are gone. Every other page opens from the three-dots menu at the top right.
  • ChangedTwo looks, a clean neutral Dark and an off-white Light, with a choice of accent color.
  • Changed"On top" in a popped-out window is a switch, like the ones in Settings.
  • ChangedStarting a new thread no longer freezes the window for a few seconds.
  • ChangedA change anywhere in the window no longer makes the whole window restyle.
  • FixedA thread that waits for your decision shows the question in its conversation, with its options as buttons.
  • FixedA helper's answer to its lead shows in the helper's conversation again.
  • FixedThe conversation stays at its newest line when a question opens under it.
  • FixedStatus dots in the thread list and under All threads are all drawn at one size.
  • FixedThe PowerShell link in a reply opens Your terminal and puts the cursor in it.

0.3.68 · build 73

  • NewWhen an agent on a paired computer needs you, this computer's bell shows it on any page, with a Windows notice when the app is not in front.
  • NewAnswer an agent's permission question from your other computer. On the Devices page, let a paired computer answer ("may answer my agents' permission questions", off by default); it then shows Allow once and Deny for short one-line commands. Everything else is still answered on its own computer.
  • NewOverview's Computers panel shows your paired computers, with how many of their agents are working or need you.
  • NewEach agent's Skills button shows how many skills it has loaded, and the Skills page shows the total.
  • NewWhen an agent saves a skill, the bell tells you, and the skill's card on the Skills page says "New · agent-written" until you open it.
  • ChangedAgents page rows are no longer colored by how full an agent's context is; the percentage stays as a number.
  • ChangedIn an agent's report only a decision's options can be clicked, not the question itself.
  • ChangedThe "Needs you" indicator animates only while something is waiting for you, so the app does less work when nothing is.
  • ChangedA custom agent saved in a project starts with the project only on a computer where you turned "Start with this project" on. After this update, turn it off and on once for agents you want to keep starting.
  • ChangedA sub-agent can no longer start new agents with tnai new, and agents started that way count against your "Sub-agents working in total" setting.
  • RemovedThe Intervene button and its box, on the Agents page and the agent cards.
  • RemovedThe Live activity band on the Agents page, with its counts. Agents that need you still show in the bell.
  • FixedAgents can no longer get around the block on git commands that throw away unsaved work by wrapping them in a loop, another shell or a full path, and a note that only mentions such a command is no longer refused.
  • FixedA message waiting for an agent you started by hand in a terminal is dropped when that agent ends, instead of being typed into the terminal; the sender is told.
  • FixedThe app no longer pauses for a moment on each tool call while an agent runs several sub-agents.
  • FixedThe Skills list no longer holds the app up at start.
  • Fixed"Needs you" now sounds and notifies for every new question in a panel, not only the first one.
  • FixedA page shown in Live preview can no longer put text into the prompt box or take the keyboard by itself.
  • FixedWhen a permission request ends and the next one takes its place, the buttons pause for a moment, so a click meant for the first cannot approve the second.
  • FixedA link in terminal output that shows other words than the PowerShell command it runs now shows the command and asks first.
  • FixedThe file viewer window can be closed again; its buttons were hidden under the file.
  • FixedA message from another agent is no longer typed into a panel that is waiting on a permission question; it waits until you have answered.
  • FixedAgents no longer report a message that is waiting to be delivered to another agent as an error.
  • FixedA permission request for a PowerShell script shows the whole script, not only its first line.
  • FixedThe Devices page no longer shows through the Live preview page.

0.3.67 · build 72

  • NewUsage & accounts: every agent CLI that is not installed has an Install button that runs the provider's own command in a PowerShell terminal panel, and a link to the provider's page. A CLI that needs Node.js offers to install that first.
  • NewDevices: a paired computer's card lists its agents, with the name, the CLI and whether each one is working, needs you or idle. The task shows when that computer shares its text with this one.
  • NewTerminal page: an agent's sub-agents are listed under it, with what each one is doing.
  • NewAgents page: a row is tinted as that agent's context fills up, a soft fade from 25%, amber from 50%, red from 80%.
  • NewOpenCode agents get much of what Claude Code agents have: permission questions answered from the app, file locks, effort and access levels, sub-agents, stop, compact, usage and the model list. Tested with OpenCode 1.18.35.
  • NewVoice: when part of a voice prompt could not be recorded because the app was busy, the bell says so and how much was lost.
  • NewHaiku 5.5 is in the Claude Code model list.
  • NewA clip shown in a terminal panel plays from the panel's More actions menu or the command palette.
  • ChangedSnapshot clips are smooth: recorded at up to 60 frames a second instead of 10.
  • Changed"What's new" lists are grouped: new things first, then changes, then fixes.
  • ChangedThe notification sound waits until you let go of the voice key.
  • ChangedA task you type straight into an agent's terminal ends its "waiting on" and "working with" notes, and the "no answer" notice says how the other agent's task ended.
  • ChangedA Codex lead agent is told how it runs inside Technically Not, and Codex's own helper commands (doctor, update and the like) are no longer listed as agents.
  • ChangedOverview: "Doing now" starts with the agent's task in plain words while it works.
  • Changed"Working in background" has its own teal dot on the Agents page and the Agent Tree.
  • ChangedSnapshot: the controls are one slim row that opens away from the pointer and stays where you drag it.
  • ChangedSnapshot files are temporary: a clip or picture you never used is deleted once the clipboard moves on, and sent ones are kept 30 days.
  • ChangedA pasted clip is a chip with a play mark in the prompt box, and its link in a terminal panel shows a still when you hover it.
  • ChangedThe question of a "Decide" line in a report is a link, for answering in your own words.
  • ChangedSkills page: an agent's skill list stays open while you add or remove skills, and closes when you click outside it or press Esc.
  • ChangedAgents list issues as numbered blocks instead of tables, which a narrow terminal panel used to break.
  • ChangedA new install starts with the current text of the built-in efficiency skill.
  • FixedThe app window loads again by itself, once, if its page stops on its own.
  • FixedA table is no longer left twice in a terminal when one copy was drawn as "Key: value" records.
  • FixedVoice: switching the voice model no longer turns the graphics card off for voice until the app restarts.
  • FixedOverview: the light moving along a sub-agent's line keeps one speed and repeats without a jump.
  • FixedAn agent that finished its task stops reading "Working" at once, and its status and task clock are the same on every page.
  • FixedAgents page: a long agent name ends in an ellipsis instead of pushing the task clock out of the row.
  • FixedThe prompt box in a narrow window: three layout faults.
  • FixedThe Skills search box and Live preview's address bar no longer show a second rectangle over the text when you click into them.
  • FixedOverview: the strip along the bottom shows the same plan usage as the top bar, also right after it changes.
  • FixedTwo CLI updates started one after the other each get their own terminal panel and both run.
  • FixedAgent CLIs installed by a tool manager (npm, Volta, pnpm, bun, scoop) or by Anthropic's own installer are found without a restart.

0.3.66 · build 71

  • NewDevices: pressing Pair for another computer now shows a request on that computer ("asks to pair with this computer"). Accept it there, then type the six digits on each computer as before. You no longer have to put the other computer into pairing mode first.
  • NewAgents that ask each other questions now show who they are waiting on and who they are working with, on their cards. Both notes end by themselves.
  • NewEach page keeps its own terminal text size (Terminal page, Agents page, the Overview focus view and the Live preview drawer), now up to 48 px, with A- / A+ buttons in the focus view and the drawer.
  • NewCheck-list labels in an agent's reply (such as "Fixed:" and "Missed:") are colored in the terminal.
  • ChangedA computer with Devices turned on stays connected to your other computers' relay even before anything is paired, so it can receive a request to pair. Devices stays off until you turn it on.
  • ChangedTerminal page summary cards are easier to read, and a panel's hover buttons fit every panel width: what has no room folds into one "..." button.
  • ChangedA finished sub-agent in its own terminal panel stays open until its lead's whole task is done, so the lead can use it again.
  • ChangedA clicked "PS>" command opens its PowerShell terminal panel in the workspace of the agent it came from, shows that panel on the Terminal page, and names it "PowerShell · for" that agent.
  • FixedA stopped terminal keeps its newest lines at the bottom in every view, and the stop note sits under the CLI's screen.
  • FixedThe A+ button on the Agents page no longer stays greyed out after a stopped agent.
  • FixedA request to pair that is declined or left unanswered does not come back for five minutes.

0.3.65 · build 70

  • NewDevices, a new page under Home. Connect the computers on your account so each one shows when an agent on another needs you. It is off until you turn it on. Pair two computers by typing a six-digit code on each; the server only passes sealed messages it cannot read. Needs a Pro plan on the account. First release of this feature: you cannot answer another computer's agent from here yet.
  • NewThe terminal's "Report" pill lights up when a finished report has scrolled out of view unread; click the word Report to jump to it.
  • NewA kept snapshot clip is on the clipboard as a real video file, so pasting into a chat app, a site or a folder gives the video. The prompt box shows a pasted clip as "Clip N".
  • NewA redesigned snapshot window and marker toolbar.
  • NewThe Terminal page has a List or Grid switch with 1 to 4 terminal panels per row. Grid shows every terminal panel beside the preview; "wide" in a panel's header gives it a row of its own.
  • ChangedThe agent lists on the Agents page and the Terminal page are plain lists again, every agent always shown. The status groups with fold lines from 0.3.64 are removed.
  • ChangedThe "idle agent" offer (Compact first, New agent, Send anyway) appears when the agent's prompt cache has really run out, not always after one hour.
  • ChangedRestart to update asks first when agents are in the middle of a task. "Not now" keeps the update ready.
  • ChangedDragging the window larger no longer causes a long freeze, saved terminals are built only when you open them, and switching agents and pages does less work.
  • FixedThe minimize, maximize and close buttons of the small file viewer window work again.
  • FixedA voice prompt that could not be delivered no longer blocks the ones after it.
  • FixedA snapshot that fails says so instead of doing nothing.
  • FixedA new agent can no longer get the same name as a sub-agent that is already shown.
  • FixedThe "Prompt held" card no longer appears while you are typing to that agent from another page, or when the agent's input is in fact empty.
  • Fixed15 smaller bugs found in a full scan of the app.

0.3.64 · build 69

  • NewAn Access pill next to Effort in the prompt row sets how much a new agent may do without asking: CLI default, Ask first, Allow edits, Auto review, Full access or Plan only. It is remembered per project, with a default in Settings › Agents › While agents work. Levels a CLI does not have are grayed out with the reason.
  • NewVoice prompts can use an NVIDIA graphics card. Settings › Voice › Use graphics card, off by default, Windows only. Without a usable card it stays grayed out with the reason, and the normal engine takes over at once if the card cannot do a clip.
  • NewCursor Agent shows its real steps as it works, in the Agents list and the activity feed.
  • NewOn the Agents page, drag an agent's row under another workspace's heading to move it there. The others shift over; it swaps only when that workspace is full.
  • NewThe agent lists on the Agents page and the Terminal page are grouped by status (needs you, working, waiting for input, stopped), each behind a fold line you can close and open.
  • NewCtrl+Shift+Alt+C in a terminal (or "Capture terminal screen" in the command palette) saves what the terminal shows, to send with a bug report.
  • ChangedReport colors and "Your turn" lines look the same in Cursor Agent, Codex and OpenCode terminal panels as in Claude Code.
  • ChangedWhen an agent shows a list of issues again, each outcome word is in its status color.
  • ChangedLive preview's Side by side shows the Desktop view as a full desktop screen scaled to fit, like Tablet and Phone, so desktop pages no longer run off the right edge.
  • ChangedAgents carry shorter always-on rules, so each task uses a little less of your plan.
  • FixedA prompt sent while an agent is selected on the Agents page goes to that agent instead of starting a new one.
  • FixedA task sent to a Cursor Agent panel is delivered even when the CLI misses the Enter key.
  • FixedAn idle Cursor Agent panel no longer sticks on "Needs you" after a reply that ends like a question, and every task after the first in a Cursor panel is recorded again.
  • FixedMessages between agents reach the right agent when a closed agent has the same name.
  • FixedThe "Own worktree" box is no longer drawn over the "Ctrl+K commands" hint under the prompt.
  • FixedOn the Agents page, rows no longer show behind the workspace heading when the list is scrolled.
  • FixedOnly one tooltip shows at a time on the Overview list.

0.3.63 · build 68

  • NewSnapshot can mark up a picture before copying it: blur, block out, box, arrow, pen, highlighter, text, numbered markers and an eraser, in four colors, with undo. Press M in the snapshot overlay to turn markup on; a plain drag still copies at once.
  • NewIn Snapshot markup, the Move tool (V) moves marks and resizes boxes and arrows, and the selection resizes from its edges. Enter takes the whole screen.
  • NewSnapshot clips. Press C in the snapshot overlay to record an area for up to 30 seconds. The clip is saved with a few still frames, and one line naming them goes on the clipboard to paste to an agent.
  • NewSnapshot can copy a small picture enlarged with sharp pixels, so it stays crisp when you post it. Press L in the overlay to turn it on.
  • NewCodex agents show their real steps as they work, in the Agents list and the activity feed, once you trust Technically Not's hook in Codex (/hooks, once per Codex account).
  • NewOpenCode agents show their real steps as they work, in the Agents list and the activity feed.
  • NewDrag one agent onto another and hold still to team them up. The agent you are over turns green; let go to join its team. A quick drag still just reorders. The Team dialog has a Leave team button.
  • New+ Terminal opens "Choose what to open" inside the new panel, so picking and starting is one step.
  • NewSettings › Terminal › "Keep a PowerShell ready" keeps one PowerShell waiting in the project folder, so a new PowerShell panel or a clicked PS> command is ready almost at once. On by default.
  • NewSteps you have to do yourself appear under "Your turn:" in a color of their own in every terminal.
  • NewNotices you should not miss start with "Heads up:" and stand out in amber.
  • ChangedA clicked PS> command opens sooner, panels start sooner, and typed keys echo a little faster.
  • ChangedLive preview's "Ask agent to fix" goes to the agent tied to that page.
  • ChangedWhen an agent shows a new page in Live preview, the tabs it opened before close by themselves.
  • ChangedOverview does less work while agents run, and a minimized window stops repainting, so the app uses less of your computer. Nothing on screen changes.
  • ChangedIn focus view, the terminal no longer jumps while you type a long prompt.
  • ChangedAgents start sub-agents on exactly the model and effort you name.
  • ChangedAn empty terminal panel no longer shows a message box.
  • ChangedAgents only mark an option that costs you money as recommended when it is worth it.
  • FixedOn the Agent Tree, the light on a sub-agent's line runs all the way to the sub-agent, and in the Agents list a sub-agent in its own panel sits under its lead.
  • FixedReport and status colors show in a full-screen agent panel too.
  • FixedCursor agents get Technically Not's work rules again.

0.3.62 · build 67

  • NewClosing a terminal panel that has a session asks first, so a stray click on its × no longer ends an agent.
  • NewTerminal text goes up to 36 px with A+.
  • NewLive preview's Desktop view always fills the preview area and grows when you stretch the window.
  • NewWhen a payment fails you have 7 days to update your card. The account menu shows the date and an Update card button.
  • Newtnai skill match TEXT tells an agent which skills fit a sentence.
  • ChangedThe window no longer flashes when an agent needs you. The notification and the chime stay.
  • ChangedA clicked PS> command runs in a PowerShell panel that is already open and idle, instead of opening a new panel each time.
  • ChangedThe Agent Tree gives the Agent column more room on a wide window, so the tool, model, effort and skill stay readable.
  • ChangedIn a narrow terminal panel header, items that do not fit step aside whole, with a "⋯" mark, instead of being cut off.
  • ChangedA saved custom agent with no panel open no longer holds on to its name.
  • ChangedA clicked Decide option, Idea or Next step ends with " / ", so what you add next never runs into it.
  • ChangedSkills are suggested from your own words only, not from attachment labels or pasted addresses.
  • ChangedAgents keep their skills up to date after a task and say why they changed one.
  • ChangedA file-lock notice reaches a working Claude Code agent at its next step, without interrupting it.
  • FixedLive preview no longer pulls the page back up while you scroll after a reload.
  • FixedNothing the app sends to an agent lands in the prompt you are still typing or speaking.
  • FixedThe voice line goes all the way round a terminal panel.
  • FixedA stopped agent picks up its conversation when you start it again.
  • FixedText typed into an offline agent's panel stays inside its box.
  • FixedThe effort you pick for a new agent is kept.
  • FixedThe prompt box on Overview keeps its gap above the status strip in a medium-wide window.

0.3.61 · build 66

  • NewLive preview sits beside your terminals on the Terminal page: your agents in a list, one terminal, and the page they are building.
  • NewLive preview has device characters as its buttons. Pick desktop, tablet or phone, or all three side by side at one height.
  • NewClick to ask in Live preview. Click any part of the page and it goes into your prompt; page errors show in a strip with "Ask agent to fix".
  • NewLive preview follows the agent you pick and shows the newest page that agent opened.
  • NewThe connection list opens inside the terminal panel you are adding it to, instead of as a popup.
  • NewMessages for a busy agent wait in Technically Not, where you can send them now, edit them or remove them.
  • NewAgents can interrupt each other when something cannot wait (tnai intervene).
  • NewEvery text box takes voice, and the box you are speaking into lights up.
  • NewEach agent shows the model it runs on.
  • NewA plan usage chip in the top bar follows the agent you click.
  • NewA Second opinion button on a finished result.
  • NewA terminal panel shows how many background commands its agent has running; click to see each one.
  • NewSummarize first. Before an automatic compact, the agent writes down what must survive.
  • NewA notice when your microphone is too quiet.
  • ChangedFewer boxes inside boxes across the app, for a calmer look on Skills, Settings, Usage, Accounts and the Agent Tree.
  • ChangedThe update notes in "What is new" are color-coded by kind.
  • ChangedA renamed agent is told its new name, so its messages and reports use it.
  • ChangedRenaming a panel to a name a saved custom agent already has now says so.
  • RemovedThe Build workspace page, and the Live preview section on the Overview (Live preview has its own page and the Terminal page).
  • FixedLive preview keeps your place when it reloads a page, instead of jumping back to the top.
  • FixedEmpty rows under an agent's input box after a panel changed size.
  • FixedDeleting selected text in a terminal input is fast again.
  • FixedOne "Preview ready" notice per agent instead of a growing list of old ones.
  • FixedAn idle Claude Code no longer shows "Read <file>" after a compact.
  • FixedFaint ghost lines around cards in Settings, Accounts and Live preview.
  • FixedCaptions and icons in Live preview's Side by side view sit where they belong.
  • FixedShort project names are no longer cut off in Usage › Top projects in a small window.

0.3.60 · build 65

  • FixedOn Overview in a smaller window, expanding the three top cards again no longer leaves the top of the Agent Tree hidden under them.
  • Settings › Voice in the browser version now says that voice prompts need the desktop app, instead of showing an empty tab.

0.3.59 · build 64

  • New agent picker: + New agent is a plain on/off switch, and the Model pill opens a two-column menu (CLIs on the left; models, recent picks and effort on the right, with search across every CLI).
  • New agent commands: tnai ask, tnai server, tnai test, tnai tasks, plus tnai delegate | wait | subagents | assign from the shell.
  • FixedEsc right after a prompt no longer leaves the task clock on "Working"; the Agents page task timer no longer squeezes the agent's name; Ctrl+Shift+←/→ switches agents in the Agent Tree focus view; the bottom ticker keeps scrolling under the pointer.
  • Usage limits on the Agent Tree: a paused agent's row blurs and a click offers Resume now on another signed-in account, Resume at reset, or Resume.
  • Settings has a Voice tab (key, language, model, sounds). Parakeet gets word hints from your project, and quiet speech is no longer dropped as silence.
  • Status colors mean the same everywhere: green working, blue finished or waiting for input, amber needs you, red error or stopped, gray idle. Status dots and their rings are the same size and centered.
  • Overview: AI accounts, Token flow and Right now fold up to their heads; the Token flow graph follows the / min · / hour · / day switch; working agents show their checklist step (3/7); lead agents show a dot until you have seen their result.
  • Terminals: a click in the input moves the caret there, typing over a selection replaces it, selecting text holds still while output arrives, and terminals no longer twitch when the left nav slides.
  • Reports: a "↑ Report ↓" pill jumps between reports; a click on a Decide, Ideas or Next item fills the input without sending; reports are shorter (one full report per task); report colors survive a terminal redraw.
  • Notifications: handled items leave the bell at once, compact and hand-off offers live in the bell, and "Prompt held" no longer appears while you type in that same panel.
  • Composer: attachments sit on one slim row above the text, so the text keeps its full width.
  • Agent CLIs: Antigravity (agy) is a connection; Cursor Agent resumes its chat after a restart and can lead; OpenCode is offered in New agent; gemini, copilot, droid and agy typed by hand in a PowerShell panel register as agents; Sonnet 5.5 added, and model lists refresh without restarting the app.
  • Safety: agents can no longer stash, hard-reset or restore the shared project folder; git-ignored files never lock or send change notices.
  • After Retire & hand off, the fresh agent summarizes where things stand and waits for your go.
  • Live preview: the terminal drawer starts closed and the Changes list is gone, so the page gets the full width. The Agents page shows how long the selected agent has been running.
  • Website: the account page hides your email and blurs billing history until you click Show.

0.3.58 · build 63

  • When an agent asks you several things at once, the decisions are numbered (Decision 1 of 3, …): answer each by its number, in one message if you like; an answer settles only the decision it names, and unclear answers are asked again.
  • Release reliability: the update step now retries a brief server hiccup instead of stopping.

0.3.57 · build 62

  • Every page now fits small windows, down to the 768×680 minimum: Overview's three top cards stay in one row and the Agent Tree keeps room for its agents.
  • The Agent Tree ? menu is no longer cut off in small windows.
  • The startup screen shows the Technically Not logo.
  • Agent handoffs show a teal "Handing off" / "Taking over" status, and a new Handoff history window (from the ↪ marker, the Agent Tree ? menu or Ctrl+K) lists the last 200 handoffs.

0.3.56 · build 61

  • New look: the whole app now uses the purple glass design, with every feature kept.
  • New agent asks which CLI to start, and worktrees can be merged straight from the ⎇ menu.
  • Update notices now show in the bell with an Update button, and wait while an agent is working.
  • FixedClosing panels no longer leaks memory, a rare crash box when a program exits is gone, and typing isn't wiped when a message is still sending.
  • Overview is simpler: the agent tree in the center, a file rail on the right, and files open in a small viewer window.
  • Terminal text is the same size everywhere, a scrolled-up terminal no longer jumps when an agent redraws, and CLI gray backgrounds match the theme.
  • Voice: choose Fast, Accurate or Best speech recognition in Settings, and speaking replaces the selected text.

0.3.55 · build 60

  • Prompting an agent that has been idle for over an hour with a big context now offers Compact first, New agent or Send anyway, because after an hour the whole context is read again at full price.
  • @mentioning two or more agents in one prompt offers to make them a team.
  • Agent cards show ↔ NAME while agents message each other.
  • A lead and its sub-agents in their own panels can no longer silently overwrite each other's file (the same 2-minute guard teams have).
  • Every issue an agent reports comes with a one-line fix and its odds of working.
  • Search sweeps go to a lighter read-only agent, and agents skip reviewing results that don't touch their work: less usage, same answers.
  • A sub-agent cut off by a usage limit is no longer carried into every later task. Project context. Every section folds to its header, and long rows show two lines with more/less. Terminals.
  • Pasting a big block is about twice as fast.
  • Selecting a multi-paragraph input and pressing Backspace/Delete deletes all of it, also in PowerShell.
  • The N need you jump opens only that agent's terminal panel, without the lag.
  • Busy terminals save their history with far less disk work. Privacy. Your email, name and GitHub username show masked everywhere in the app. Fixes.
  • Voice typing no longer pastes a lone "." when it hears no words.
  • Usage bars keep the last reading (dimmed, "Anthropic busy") instead of "Not available" when Anthropic is busy.
  • Team summary's pop-out shows its full title.

0.3.54 · build 59

  • New worktrees reuse the project's installed packages, so agents can run the app and its checks right away. See what's happening in your other projects. With several projects open, the project switcher shows each one's live status (● 2 working · ! 1 needs you). Activity from another project carries its name; click it to jump there. More agent CLIs. Gemini CLI and GitHub Copilot: sign-in detection, sign-in, and separate accounts. Droid is recognized. Voice typing. A soft tone when voice typing starts and stops. Long dictations are transcribed while you keep talking, so the text arrives sooner. Right-click no longer pastes into a terminal that's taking your voice. Terminals.
  • Faster screens while many agents run.
  • How: tick Own worktree when you add a connection (or in the composer's New agent menu). Its panel shows a ⎇ badge with its changed files and commits; click the badge to review that worktree.
  • Review & land: on Changes, a worktree's Review & land shows every file the merge brings in and its diff, then Merge, Keep working or Discard.
  • Continue where you left off: when you add a connection, earlier worktrees no panel is using show as Continue in ⎇ …, so an agent picks up its old branch instead of starting a new one.
  • Browse a worktree's files: the File Repository rail gets a Main | ⎇ … switch; open, edit and save a worktree's files like any other.
  • Preview side by side: an agent in a worktree runs its site on its own port, and its Live preview tab is labeled with the worktree's name.
  • Status sections in agent replies (Done / Where we stopped / Still open) get their own colors.
  • The Agents page and Build panels follow the terminal's size instead of resizing it, so switching pages no longer makes agents redraw.
  • Backspace/Delete now deletes a selection across wrapped input lines. Windows. Pop-outs, the question dialog and the file viewer use Technically Not's own title bar and buttons. Agents.
  • Agents at their usage limit stop showing as running, and resume 5 seconds apart when the limit resets.
  • Long sessions offer a hand-off to a fresh agent after 2 hours or 150k tokens (asks first; Not now waits an hour).
  • Names you give sub-agents are kept as you wrote them.
  • A message to an agent that handed its work over goes to the agent that took over.
  • In the composer, @Ideas 1 or @Decide 1 points an agent at an item of its latest report. Community total (optional, off by default). Settings › Usage: add your agent work to the anonymous community total on the website. Fixes and safety.
  • Reading files no longer marks them as locked by that agent.
  • Safer sign-in and sign-up, and tighter handling of remembered commands.

0.3.53 · build 58

  • FixedThe voice box staying orange after switching pages mid-dictation.
  • FixedSub-agent cards stuck on "Starting" or "Running" when a launch was refused; a stuck one can now be closed.
  • FixedA sub-agent that picks up again after finishing now shows as running.
  • FixedThe "Run /compact" notice staying after compacting.
  • FixedPermission cards staying open after you answered in the terminal.
  • FixedA docked terminal not redrawing after a pop-out closed, messages sent to a busy agent mixing into your typing, and plan limits asking too often while rate-limited.
  • Drag agents to reorder them on the Agents page and the Overview grid. Terminal, Overview and the Agents list always keep the same order, and sub-agents stay with their main agent.
  • Team mode: group agents you started separately so they share file locks and know about each other (Team button on an agent's page).
  • File locks now also notice edits made through shell commands and tell the agents involved.
  • Click "PowerShell" in an agent's reply to open a PowerShell terminal panel in your project folder; a command the agent attached is typed in for you, never run.
  • Rename any agent with the ✎ next to its name on the Agents page.
  • Voice: all 99 languages, words from your project (agent and file names) come through more accurately, and saying an agent's name ("Umber, …") sends the prompt to that agent. Dictating over selected text replaces it.
  • Alerts to Discord (optional, off by default): get a message in your own Discord when an agent needs you, finishes or seems stuck.
  • Each line of an agent's end-of-task report now has its own color in the terminal, matching the Summary cards.
  • A Summary button now sits next to every Project context button, and the Summary card's Project context button stays in view.
  • Screenshot notes can point to another screenshot ("@2"), which stacks its note on top.
  • The update dialog links to everything new since your version on the website changelog.
  • Smoother Ctrl+scroll zoom in terminals.

0.3.52 · build 57

  • FixedTyping in an agent's terminal no longer shows it as Working before you send.
  • FixedA screenshot's own note ("@1 …") now reaches the agent.
  • FixedAgents could show "Paused (usage limit)" while still working.
  • FixedStatus colors under a full-screen terminal panel, notices from closed panels staying in the bell, and several smaller issues.
  • Team summary: press Ctrl+Shift+S (or Summary on Overview) for one live card of who needs you, who's working and on what, what finished and what's next. Drag it, fold it to one line, or pop it out into its own window.
  • Pop out Live preview into its own window and keep it on top, on any monitor.
  • Drag terminal panels to reorder them on the Terminal page.
  • Voice input in your language: pick one of about 45 languages or Auto-detect in Settings. The multilingual model downloads the first time you use it.
  • Agents using Claude in Chrome show a Browser tag, and a new Use Claude in Chrome setting lets Claude Code agents work in your browser.
  • Agents can now screenshot their own Live preview to check the UI they built, and close preview tabs they opened.
  • A bell notice when an agent seems stuck repeating the same step. Nothing is stopped for you.
  • Click the CPU/GPU/Memory chip to open Task Manager.
  • Gemini CLI and GitHub Copilot: resume, models and folder trust are wired up.
  • What's new now shows the notes of every version you skipped.
  • Calmer tooltips that wait until you rest on a control.

0.3.51 · build 56

  • FixedAn agent could keep showing "Working in background" after its background job had already finished.
  • PC stats in the top bar: see your CPU, GPU and memory at a glance while agents work (GPU on NVIDIA cards). Hover it for details, including how much memory Technically Not itself uses. It pauses while the window is minimized.

0.3.50 · build 55

  • API keys as accounts: add your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key in Settings › Accounts and run Claude Code or Codex on it, pay per use.
  • Plan limits: Settings › Usage shows each plan window's % used with its reset time, like Claude's /usage.
  • Pop-out cards: move any Overview grid card into its own window and place it on any monitor; it keeps updating live.
  • Composer: sending a message no longer switches pages, so you can keep watching whatever you're on. The Effort menu now shows the effort your agent is really using.
  • Terminal zoom works again: Ctrl + scroll over a terminal zooms instead of scrolling.
  • Split screen: Technically Not now fits Windows Snap halves down to 768 px wide.
  • Agents can start other agents on a chosen model and effort, and you see a token estimate before a sub-agent team starts.
  • Clearer errors: a sub-agent that can't start now says why (for example, its CLI is signed out), and Gemini CLI usage limits are recognized.
  • Voice prompts light up the whole terminal panel they go to.
  • If your plan ends mid-session, working agents finish their current turn before Technically Not locks.
  • Open-source notices now ship inside the app.
  • Smaller fixes: Settings › Agents section headers, the "Composer sends here" pill, the Result popover staying open on resize, and project switches with agent worktrees.

0.3.49 · build 54

  • Busy agent, different task: when you send an agent something unrelated to what it's working on, Technically Not asks where it should go: start a sub-agent, a new agent, or send it anyway.
  • Idle agents no longer show as Working just because their CLI keeps redrawing "Checking for updates", so closing them works again.
  • Live activity starts collapsed each time you open Technically Not, so the agents list gets the room first.
  • Custom agents on Overview: the panel now opens and closes, and starts closed.
  • Smaller screens: a Build panel's close button always stays visible, Overview task lines are no longer half-faded, the card grid no longer spills over on very wide screens, and skill names stay readable at 1024×768.
  • Updates: "Update…" checks again first, so you always get the newest version in one step, and What's new shows just the notes.

0.3.48 · build 53

  • Behind-the-scenes update: no changes you'll notice in the app this time. It keeps your copy current with the website and server.

0.3.47 · build 52

  • Terminal zoom: hold Ctrl and scroll over any terminal to make its text bigger or smaller. Choose Ctrl, Alt or Off in Settings › Appearance › Keyboard.
  • Sub-agents: a task for one agent CLI is no longer refused because another CLI already got a task with the same words.
  • What's new now always opens right here in the app.

0.3.46 · build 51

  • New agent panels no longer end up below the terminal grid, and sub-agents sit next to their lead on Overview.
  • OpenCode works as an agent and as a sub-agent: it starts without a saved provider key, gets its task on its own, and its answer reaches the agent that asked.
  • A fresh Cursor Agent sub-agent no longer loses its first task while it starts up.
  • A message sent with tnai send waits while you have unsent text in that agent's input, then arrives as its own prompt instead of being joined to yours.
  • Agents can wait longer for their sub-agents, and an answer that arrives late still reaches them.
  • Two agents can't edit the same file at once: Claude Code is stopped from editing a file another agent holds, and other agents use tnai lock.
  • Auto sends new tasks to Claude Code (or Codex if your ChatGPT plan is the higher one) and the menu shows which: "Auto · Claude Code".
  • Mentioning Cursor in a prompt no longer starts a Cursor agent by mistake.
  • A warning chip shows when an agent's conversation is getting large (and costs more per message), with thresholds you can set in Settings › Agents.
  • Ctrl+K lists the tnai commands and fills one into the composer.
  • Terminal text is easier to read in the light theme, for Claude Code, Cursor Agent and OpenCode alike.
  • Stopped agents say why they stopped in plain words.

0.3.45 · build 50

  • Answer an agent's decision right on its card: click one of its options and your choice is sent to it.
  • Agents waiting on your decision count in the "need you" chip and the window title, and Ctrl+Shift+J takes you to them.
  • Working in background has its own color, so it no longer looks like Waiting on agents.
  • After you sign in from the app, the browser sign-in page tries to close itself and the app comes to the front.
  • Signing in with Google or GitHub joins an existing account with the same email only after that account's authenticator code.
  • Only one checkout can be open at a time per account.
  • Agents coordinate better with each other and share one running dev server.

0.3.44 · build 49

  • New tnai clear-closed command clears old closed agents from the agents list.
  • Agents with background tasks still running show Working in background instead of waiting for input.
  • Agents waiting for you to choose between options show Needs your decision with the question.
  • The installer tells you whether it is installing fresh or updating your existing copy.
  • Each computer keeps one signed-in app session, so the 3-computer limit can't be shared around.
  • Google sign-in on the website is protected against token replay.
  • Opening files on your PC blocks more file types that Windows would run directly, and file diffs stay inside your project.
  • Apps on 0.3.37 can download updates again.
  • An unpaid subscription no longer stops you from buying again.
  • An agent you pick in the composer gets your message even if you picked it before pasting.
  • An agent revived with a task from the composer stays open.

0.3.42 · build 47

  • Update notices now live in the notification bell, which turns purple when an update is waiting.
  • Pick which browser opens for Google or GitHub sign-in, so you can choose from accounts you're already signed in to.
  • While waiting for sign-in, Copy sign-in link lets you finish in any browser.
  • Typing into a stopped agent's terminal panel keeps your text; press Enter to restart the agent and send it.
  • While you hold the voice key, Technically Not stays on top, and letting go stops listening even if a pop-up appears.
  • Overview shows all your agents when a full workspace spills into a new one.
  • Installing an update always replaces the existing copy instead of adding a second one.
  • The website's Continue with Google button works again.

0.3.41 · build 46

  • Accounts with an authenticator app now need its code after a password reset and after Google or GitHub sign-in.
  • Signing in from the app opens your browser reliably.

  • Choose your own snapshot key in Settings › Appearance › Keyboard.

  • Sign in with any Google account.

0.3.38 · build 43

  • A payment dispute or a full refund ends the plan it paid for.
  • The installed app is harder to tamper with.

0.3.37 · build 42

  • The app needs a Technically Not account with an active Pro plan.
  • Manage or cancel your plan from your account page.

0.3.36 · build 41

  • A new purple "Waiting on agents" status shows when an agent is waiting for its sub-agents to finish.
  • Give any new agent its own worktree, so several agents can edit at once without clashing. Sub-agents work in their lead's worktree, and file activity inside a worktree shows up live.
  • Switching pages stays quick while agents finish tasks in the background.
  • Voice prompts: only you end a recording, the first and last words are clearer, and long recordings on slower PCs finish instead of timing out.
  • Terminal panels: the Latest button sits in the middle at the bottom, and the panel buttons stay on the right edge.
  • The Overview shows equal-size agent cards, and the Live activity feed is now on the Agents page.
